General Description:
The SCB-1020 is an asynchronous/synchronous connuication card It contains the UPD7201A multi-protocol serial communicatin controller to perform data transfer up to 256 kbaud The SCB-1020 supports asynchronous bit and bytle oriented protocols The synchronous protocols may be applied to monosync and bisync as well as hdlc and sdlc opertion The RS-232 signals are interfaced to external devive via a D-25 connectorwhich provides shielding against environmental noiseOther characteristics of the SCB-1020 include jumper selectable dma request (channels 1 &3) and jumper selectable interrupt requests (IRQ2-IRQ70). The SCB-1020 contains switch selectable addressing to avoid conflicts with other devices in the computer Programmable on-board clocks provide data rates for the UPD7201A
