The basic sniper rifle shot counter is a battery operated module designed to mount into the sniper rifle stock immediately behindthe trigger guard this module is not designed for automatic weapons there is an optional window at the lower end to allow communications using an infra-red (ir) data link the module includes a non-replaceable lithium battery with a battery life of 5 years the unit will count up to 5 shots per second and will store 65, 535 shots the module is mechanically rugged and is designed to operate over negative 40 degrees celsius to positive 85 degrees celsius range
